Where performance counts!

UPDATE! Sophie earned her second preferred QQ
at the Flatirons KC agility trial on November 5, 2017.

A half-sister to Sally and Janelle, Sophie came to live with us in October 2013, courtesy of co-breeder and co-owner, Anita Rasmussen.  Sophie had a litter before she left California, sired by Ch. Lorra Lee's Easy Rider.  From that litter, Lorra Lee's-Sagebrush Annie is living at Lorra Lee Shelties.

Sophie started winning in the show ring in the summer of 2014.  She quickly accumulated 12 points, 1 major, including Best of Winners at the Centennial Shetland Sheepdog Club of Great Denver in September of that year.  She finished her Championship in style at the Durango KC show on May 20, 2016, going WB, BW and Best of Breed over three specials.

From a lovely puppy to a gorgeous three year old, Sophie matured into everything we ever hoped for.

Sophie enjoys agility, but has never been a particularly good jumper. After she finished her AX and AXJ titles, I switched her to the preferred master agility classes. She really enjoys agility now that she no longer worries about every jump, and is rapidly accumulating legs towards her preferred masters titles.

Sophie is sopping wet in this photo. This outdoor trial had temperatures in the 90s.  We packed up and went home after her first run rather than risk heat stroke for any of us.
